Cellar Lunch - Wine vs Beer: There can only be one!

There is a firm belief among winemakers that you can’t make good wine without beer.  That being said, is there an argument to be made for one over the other?  Perhaps there is no ultimate choice but how will we know if we don’t sit down and compare and discuss the virtues of each over a paired four course lunch around our cellar table. Each dish will be paired with two wines and two beers to explore the history of how beers and wines have matured into the delicious beverages we enjoy today.

Our Matinee Cellar series has evolved from its beginnings as an educational comparative tasting with canapés to a sumptuous four course lunch generously paired with a selection of wines now known simply as our Cellar Lunch!

The Kalleske Cellar Lunch (formally Matinee Cellar Series) is a relaxed yet informative look into some of the aspects and curiosities of wine we love the most. Hosted in our underground cellar at our Greenock Cellar Door, we serve four generous courses of wine and food as we explore Kalleske and the world of wine.
